Late Assignments
There is a zero tolerance for late assignments policy in this course. That means that late assignments are not accepted.
BUT…all students get one “Life Happens” extension per semester. This extension gives you an extra four days on any assignment. To use your “Life Happens” extension, email me and state you would like to use it.
If you need additional extensions, please get in touch with me. I never say no.
Accommodations
The Access Resource Centre (ARC) provides service to students with documented disabilities or health conditions, ranging from temporary to permanent. Students who may have a need for academic accommodation are encouraged to contact ARC. For information, see: ARC at UNBC
Please also come and speak with me directly to see how I can help with framing our assignments in accessible ways to meet your needs.
Plagiarism and the use of AI technologies
Plagiarism occurs when a student submits or presents work of another person in such a manner as to lead the reader to believe that it is the student’s original work; self-plagiarism is the submission of work previously submitted for academic credit without the permission of the current course instructor. Both are subject to disciplinary action as per the UNBC Student Code of conduct.
Generative AI is emerging and may be useful in some assignments for this course; in others, I am interested not in what AI can generate but in what you can produce. Please pay close attention to assignment guidelines to see where generative AI is permitted to be used in this course and where it is not.
Submission of Assignments
Please submit all assignments to Moodle as Microsoft Word files.
